Hi Sharon; I have a 99 and as I recall it was about the same as yours for the 1st change. But now I have replaced them with aftermarket pads and at 12,000 they are still good. As a matter of interest, maybe, my original IRC rear tire wore out at 5,000. I am now using Kendo tires front and rear which have already outlasted the original factory tires and are still good to pass the recent Pa state inspection. It seems the aftermarket stuff is better than original. Frank M
